Diane Gonzalez-Vickers holds a General Agent Life and Health license in the State of Texas. Diane earned her designation as a "Certified Benefits Advisor", in 2008. As an expert on Advanced CDHP's, she is able to customize unique Consumer Driven Health Plans for her clients, to meet their individual needs and budgets. She is able to advise on Advanced CDHP's, wellness and employee education. Diane is 1 of 296 Agents who are confirmed by The State of Texas, the 'Small Employer Health Benefit Plans Certification' status with Texas Department of Insurance. She became certified in May 2010.
She has 19 years of experience as a Small Business Owner. She knows the challenges that are involved when an employer wants to offer his/her employees' group health and life benefits but is concerned about the costs.
She started in business in 1999, as an insurance Agent working for a local agency in Dallas and within two years she was able to open her own agency, Benefit Writers, in May 2001 in Rockwall, TX.
Customer service is very important to Diane; she works very hard to go above and beyond what her client's expectations are of her.
She is a member of National Association of Health Underwriters and she joined the Dallas Chapter of Health Underwriters in 2002. July 2008 was the first year for her to serve on the board of Dallas Association of Health Underwriters, and she is committed to excellence while serving as DAHU Awards Chairperson. During her tenure the awards won for DAHU were the Pacesetter Award, The Membership Growth Award for Large Chapter, and Media Relations Award.
As health care reform became the focus in Washington, D.C., her passion to help and give back to the industry became her priority and she accepted the DAHU Federal Legislative Chair. She was the first in the nation to organize a Town Hall meeting to discuss health care reform with Congressman Ralph M Hall (R-TX 4th District) as the key note speaker. This allowed the citizens of Rockwall and surrounding counties to talk about their concerns with health care reform. She travels to Washington, DC to lobby with NAHU to educate Congressman and Senators about the insurance industry and how her clients are effected by the legislation. She is committed to her role and responsibilities of DAHU Federal Legislative Chair to keep the latest information delivered to her association and her clients.
Presently Diane serves as President Elect 2010-2011 for Dallas Association of Health Underwriters, and she will take on the role of President for 2011-2012
July 1, 2011, Diane will also serve on the board of Texas Association of Health Underwriters as a President of her local Dallas chapter.
Benefit Writers has been a proud member of the Rockwall Area of Chamber of Commerce since 2009, she is privledged to be an active member. Her ribbon cutting was in 2009.
Diane specializes in Small Groups and Individual, Life, Dental, Vision, Long Term and DI.
In her spare time she enjoys spends quality time with her family and friends, church, photography, floral designing and volunteering for Non-Profit organizations. She is married to Chuck and they live in Rockwall, TX. They have three daughters and one son.
